The second of two new releases from the Art Mint this month, the Cat Eye coin marks the inaugural coin in a new series of artistic animal themed coins just launched from the innovative mint.
The other coin was incidentally also the first in a new series, the Greek Myths series(not to be confused by the Greek Mythology Series from the New Zealand Mint), launched by the Art Mint.

The reverse depicts a curled up cat that fills the entire face of the coin. The animal appears to be sleeping except for one open eye, that is either very endearing or somewhat unsettling depending on how you feel about cats one would suppose.

Other than the striking cat eye, one of the first thing you’ll notice about the coin is the size. At 50mm the coin is quite large. Struck from 2 ounces of pure .999 Fineness silver, tipping the scales at 62.2gram(exactly 2 troy ounces of pure silver).
