Star Trek: Voyager is the fifth incarnation of Star Trek. The series debuted in 1995 and ran for seven seasons until 2001. Captain Kathryn Janeway was the first female captain to feature as a lead character in a Star Trek television series.

Captain Kathryn Janeway is a tough captain, not afraid to take chances, and is highly intelligent, thoughtful, dedicated, and diplomatic.

While attempting to capture the crew of a renegade Maquis vessel, Captain Janeway and Voyager were pulled into the distant Delta quadrant by powerful alien technology. Stranded 70,000 light-years from Earth, Janeway convinced the Maquis crew to join her Starfleet crew and serve together during the long voyage back to Federation space.
