Spock was born in 2230 on the planet Vulcan to Vulcan ambassador Sarek, and Amanda Grayson, a human teacher. Spock initially served as a Starfleet officer for several decades before going on to become a Federation ambassador.

Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek: The Original Series debuted in 1966, and ran for three seasons until 1969. Set in the future, the science fiction series followed the 23rd century adventures of key characters that included the part-human, part-Vulcan character Spock, as well as Captain James T. Kirk, and Dr. Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy.
